What is going on…with work wear? (Outfit Ideas Included)

It has been a while since my last blog post…. but I am back! We have been in a global pandemic for over two years now, I know I can’t believe it either, and some of us are back at work while some of us are still at home. But one is for sure, it is very difficult to figure out what workwear is now. Before the pandemic, Business Casual had become the new standard for workwear in most work environments.

After years of people wearing athleisure, it is easy to see why it is hard to wear business casual or business professional again. So what do we wear? Many articles, like this one, are citing that the answer is complicated. Some employers are requiring business casual and others are allowing jeans, to make employees feel comfortable returning to work.

It can be difficult to figure out what to wear now. I put together a list of items I have been wearing to work. These items are comfortable, affordable, and most of them are washable as well making them great choices for work in the office, or for working from home.

If you are wearing denim to work, I highly suggest the denim by Spanx. I always try to “dress up” my denim with a blazer like I did in the photo below.

I also dressed up the same pair of jeans by Spanx with a white vest from Amazon. The vest comes in additional colors and would be a great option for fall as well.
