I cannot believe it is March! I had a busy February and wasn’t able to share my experience as the Co-Chairwoman of the First Young at Heart After Party for the Houston Heart Ball. The Houston Heart Ball is one of the premiere philanthropic events in the Houston area benefiting the American Heart Association. I had the pleasure of Co-Chairing the After Party for the Heart Ball with another #ladylawyer and Sorority sister, Krystal Studavent. This year the Heart ball raised $2.3 million to fund research and education opportunities.

Young at Heart is a group of young professionals committed to spreading the AHA mission in the Houston area. Members receive exclusive access and discounted tickets for the American Heart Association’s signature events, mission engagement events, networking opportunities and volunteer opportunities.

After going to the Heart Ball, I went to Dallas for the National Advocacy Board meeting for the American Heart Association. I was happy to discuss the Young at Heart After Party and involving young professionals in Heart health initiatives.

Now that February is over, its officially time for March. I’m excited about spring, pastels, and new beginnings.
