There are sales as HOT as summer everywhere. From Amazon Prime day to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, I am dishing everything I know about two of the most popular sales around.

Prime Day– Prime Day is the mega Amazon sale for Amazon prime members and the deals last for two days. The only catch…we don’t know exactly what will be on sale until Prime day starts. However, we do know that there are pre-prime day deals, Prime day deals will be updated throughout the day, and Amazon is providing tons of promotions to get more people to subscribe to Amazon prime. Prime Day Tips: Clothing will likely be featured however, Amazon has a higher markup on designer Brand names. The best deals are on items from smaller sellers. Electronics will be at great prices but target is featuring deals as well. If you see a really good deal, grab it because it may not last for the entire sale. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale- Now, I admit I used to LIVE for the anniversary sale. One year after saving up and paying off one of my student loans, I bought needed items from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. The deals were amazing and I enjoyed shopping with early access. However, in recent years, I have been a little disappointed with the overall selection. This year, I received my Nordstrom catalog early and was pleasantly surprised with the selection. The Anniversary sale has different starting points. Designer early access started on July 12th and will go through July 18th for individuals with Nordstrom credit or debit cards. The sale will open to the public on July 19th.

Anniversary Sale Advice/Tips- This year, I have seen notices that many items are already sold out during early access, which could mean that Nordstrom is trying to hold back some inventory and restock periodically during the sale, I’m not sure. Some of the items I wanted to link here are already sold out! If you don’t shop the Anniversary sale, you should check out deals that may end up at your local Nordstrom Rack to make room for all of the new anniversary sale merchandise. In my humble opinion, the best deals are usually in lingerie, makeup, and fragrances since those items usually don’t go on sale. Additionally, some special makeup sets are made just for Nordstrom.
