Style Essentials- The Wrap Dress

The Wrap Dress is a dress that comes in a variety of styles. It is a style that universally flatters and can be worn for a variety of occasions. The Wrap Dress was invented by Diane Von Furstenburg in 1974. Since the 70’s, the wrap dress has been reinvented over and over again for new generations of women who love the timeless style. (I personally doubt that the wrap dress will ever go out of style.)

I love a wrap dress because the style creates, or accentuates, a woman’s shape by adding definition to the waist. Since the styles of wrap dresses vary, we can all find a wrap dress that suits our body shape and personal style. I am wearing my newest wrap dress below. I love it because the top portion of the dress fits like a sheath and the bottom is a wrap dress with a figure flattering detail at the waist. Since I am petite, I always want to make sure I wear dresses that don’t overpower my frame or distort my body type. This dress has fabric that flows nicely and has a little stretch, ensuring it will keep its shape.

As always, I have linked some of my favorite wrap dresses below in a variety of sizes and price points. Enjoy and happy shopping!
